Bonnie Parke: Artist Statement"I believe that my role as an artist is to be an interpreter of nature; with that in mind, I paint scenes that hopefully fill the world with spirituality and inspire reverence for all forms of life. Landscapes are my preferred subject because nature is a universally understood language, yet it can be interpreted individually and become meaningful to the owner or viewer of my work. In my long career of over forty years of passionate painting, I have explored and come to love more and more the many moods and seasons interpreted in my natural surroundings, and I am grateful for the gift of depicting these in wonderful natural colors."
